So far I've read 4 of Lauren Marie''s books. You fall in love with her characters. This one is my favorite! Lauren is a very fluid writer and her books are captivating. When you start one you can't put it down. Case in point.....it's 3:30am and I just finished this book. I'm sad is over and I want more of their story.

This is a story of physical and mental abuse and finding the strength to be strong enough to believe in love and fight for it while her better half is fighting to let go of his past and the lies he was told by the woman he believed love him .
I think this book was a great book! It is a story about a woman who has severe mental trauma from the mental abuse she suffered from her mother and other's in her childhood. This book also shows how she able to overcome her fears and open up her heart to love again. With a fun and witty dialog, (plus some adult surprises) I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to cozy down for the weekend!
Love On Ice was an okay read. The lead lady annoyed me with all of her wanting to run away talk and thinking. I understand and get her past that she has a lot of triggers to cause this, but I really got tired of it. It just got to the point where I was like enough already. His thing about lie to him twice and we are done didn't go very far with me. Lies hurt everyone involved but, but he will make mistakes as well. Forgiveness. The story was okay. I don't feel like the stuff with her mom was resolved completely either. It takes them a while, but they do find their HEA.

I had high hopes for this book, having loved the movie "Cutting Edge" and hoping this would be similar. The similarity is only as far as their meeting took place at an ice skating rink. I did not read the first book of this series but I can tell you that I will not be doing so. I'm not a prude but most of the book had to do with the sexual interaction between the two main characters. The writing along with the dialogue was very amateurish. I think the author could do a much better job if she wasn't so explicit with the sexual parts and developed the characters and their interactions better. It is said "more is less" and I believe that the sexual descriptions took away from the book - too much! In fact, I found I skipped most of the book and went directly to the end. Waste of money!
